FAQs

What should my child wear?

Old clothes that you don’t mind getting dirty!

Longer sleeves and trousers as there are nettles on the site.

Welly boots or old trainers.

Something warm for the colder weather.

In the summer a sun hat and suncream is a good idea.

What is Forest Bees After School Club?

We spend time playing and having fun in the Forest School site on the school field. Each week there will be different challenges or activities. In the past we have had a ‘build the tallest structure challenge”, create a bridge to hold something heavy, relay races, natural art, clay, making a fire, toasting marshmallows and making popcorn.

Who runs Forest Bees?

My name is Sarah Bytyci and I am a qualified teacher and Forest School Leader. I have over 10 years experience working with children in various settings. I’m a fully qualified first aider and I am DBS cleared and I am fully insured.

What if it rains?

We will still go ahead with the session if it is raining, so make sure your children are dressed appropriately. We do have access to shelter and the activities will be adjusted accordingly.

What if the session is cancelled?

If I am unable to run the session we will try and arrange for alternative provision. Will give you as much notice as possible if we cannot make suitable alternative arrangements and will organise refunds if necessary.
